Description: I. Panning shot around quayside on river (estuary ?) in barren, rolling landscape. Soldiers (not British ?) sit around on the grass. In the middle distance, a large cargo ship is docked at the makeshift quay. Boxes are pulled along the beach on a horse-drawn cart (probably an ammunition column - see notes).II. 'THE CITY'S RED CROSS MEN: The London Transport Column, who are engaged in transporting wounded from the London Railway Stations march to Buckingham Palace'. A procession of ambulances and cars drive into the front courtyard of Buckingham Palace. A long line of men marches out of the gates and down the Mall.III. 'INSPECTING RUSSIAN INFANTRY: One of the features in the drill of a Russian infantryman is the way he follows his officer with his eyes ready to read his thoughts and to obey'. Line of Russian troops stand to attention with sabres drawn as their commanding officer passes. After he has passed by, the men abruptly turn their heads in his direction. General Paget with the Russians: officers salute him as he gets ready to leave.IV. 'RUSSIAN CAVALRY: Sir A. Paget reviewing Russian Cavalry as they pass through the snow clad forests on their way to the Eastern Front'. General Paget, accompanied by British and Russian officers review a column of cavalry as it heads off into the forest.V. 'KING ENTERTAINS WOUNDED SOLDIERS: Blinded soldiers from St. Dunstan's arriving at Buckingham Palace. They were entertained by the King and Queen who personally saw to the comfort of their guests'. Several B-type omnibuses (one from 'Mortlake Garage' carry the soldiers into the palace through the Horse Guard's Parade entrance. Inside, young women are seen getting out of cars. The King and Queen are not seen. (Abrupt end.)
